The goal
Representative online version for the established print magazine
Der Österreichische Transporteur is aimed at members of the Austrian freight transport industry. The magazine has been published monthly in print since 2020, providing industry members with up-to-date professional information. The publisher’s goal was to make this information accessible online, further increasing the magazine’s reach.
The online magazine publishes a wide range of information, from new laws and regulations, technical innovations, and reports to practical truck tests. The online platform also contributes to monetization through banners and advertorials. The editorial team can independently manage the online ad spaces with various advertising materials.
The path to success
Design and implementation of the website in WordPress
Web design & UX
The design was intended to align with the layout of the existing print magazine to create a strong sense of recognition for existing readers in the new online medium. To ensure this, we modernized and transferred key elements, colors, and fonts from the magazine to the website. Since ad space booking is essential, the ad banner placements are seamlessly integrated into the layout.
WordPress development
The online magazine’s article editing is based on Gutenberg, WordPress’ block editor. This ensures maximum front-end performance and fast loading times. As always with projects that require intensive editorial support, we provided an online manual.
